The existing dwelling, whilst inhibiting plenty of historic character, was in need of refurbishment both internally and externally in order to revitalise its appearance.
We worked closely with the clients and contractor alike to ensure that all interventions were sensitive to the existing character of the dwelling. Elements of the original fabric have been uncovered internally to create statement features throughout, including an exposed brick backdrop to the new bathroom situated in the previously uninhabited loft space. Ceiling ties, timber beams and exposed rafters are left bare to celebrate the beauty of the property and its structure.
