The existing house was formed with several extensions that were disjointed and unsympathetic to the house and surrounding views.
We were approached with a brief to design a sympathetic proposal that would both improve the exterior aesthetic of the dwelling and create well-connected, cohesive interior spaces.
We submitted a planning application to the South Downs National Park Planning Authority for alterations to the existing dwelling and a single storey extension forming a new and improved entrance space.

Externally the renovated house is finished in traditional brick and flint which sits harmoniously within the rural landscape. In contrast, the interior finish is crisp and contemporary.
The project also incorporated the design and construction of a new traditional oak frame garage and log store and external landscaping which was designed by Acres Wild landscape and garden designers.
