Seldon Road - Worthing
The brief was to create a dense scheme in Seldon Road whilst making the building sit within its historical context. Our design contains six flats and one maisonette. The character of the street scene is retained by creating a traditional front elevation along Seldon Road, whilst massing the building to the rear to gain the required accommodation.
This building is another ground-breaking scheme with this client which incorporates modern, off site methods of construction techniques. These include structural insulated panels, combined heat and power units which generate electricity on site and high levels of insulation that will obtain high grading in the new Code of Sustainable Homes. The same client has also instructed us to produce design concepts for a low carbon housing scheme on a five acre site on the south coast.
