Martin Helyer Bsc B[Arch] Hons ARB RIBA

Martin graduated from Dundee University with a First Class Honours degree. He has worked for offices in Edinburgh, Chichester and Guildford gaining valuable experience in Residential, Medical and Retail sectors. He formed the company in 2003 with a desire to produce quality architecture for clients.

Having grown up in Chichester Martin also has a comprehensive knowledge of the local area and appreciates the complexities of obtaining planning permission in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Harbour Conservation Areas and the newly formed South Downs National Park.           

Martin successfully became a Green Register Architect in 2007. Martin has won awards for architecture from Arups, British Gas and Chichester City Council for the conservation of 6 East Pallant.

Thomas Davies BA [Hons], Dip Arch, MA PP ARB

In 2004, Thomas joined the company from a prestigious London and Canterbury based architects where he gained excellent experience in the fields of conservation and housing. Trained at Portsmouth University, Thomas is now responsible for many of the residential schemes and conservation projects at Helyer Davies Architects.

Thomas successfully became a member of the Green Register of Architects in 2007 and became a fully qualified architect in 2008, with a Masters in Professional Practice.

In addition, Thomas has been a member of the Emsworth and Havant Design Panel since its inception in 2010.

Sean joined Helyer Davies Architects from a Hampshire based Architecture Practice. Sean has experience within Housing, Industrial and Education Projects ranging in size and value.

Previous working with Housing Associations such as PHA, Raven Housing Trust and English Rural Housing Association implementing standards such as Life Time Homes criteria.

Juliet joined Helyer Davies Architects in 2005 as Practice Manager with over 10 years of managerial and business development experience working for Architectural Practices in West Sussex. At Helyer Davies Architects Juliet has a wide ranging role, responsible for administration and every day running of the practice.

After graduating from the University of Plymouth in 2013, Tom spent a year at Helyer Davies Architects between his Degree and Diploma. On completion of his Part II Diploma at Westminster University, Tom has returned to the practice to complete his Part III and qualify as an architect.

Having graduated from the University of Portsmouth, Neeltje works with Helyer Davies Architects as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant. She enjoys 3D modelling, free hand sketching and working on live projects.

James has commenced work with Helyer Davies Architects Ltd as a Part 1 Architecture Assistant. He particularly enjoys 3D renderings and experimenting with different mediums both physical and digital to communicate his design work. In his spare time James enjoys playing the guitar and going to music concerts.

Having previously undertaken work experience at Helyer Davies Architects, Liam decided to pursue a career as an Architectural Technologist and is now studying for his B-Tec National Diploma in Construction (Design).  Liam helps with surveys, drawings and detailing work.
